Be mindful kids are quite clued up and she may be able to see/work out she’s being spied on. Plus, if she ever did find out you were spying on her or could see her messages, I can imagine it would harm your relationship

Would advise against it - she needs (to find) her own space as she becomes an adult. Bad enough having bosses spy on workers.
Far better to ensure she can talk to you openly about any concerns, and you her.

Tracking app is the way to go but make it open but go for something like Life360 and dont try to be sneaky about it. Everyone in the family gets it, so it is not just her.
It does actually make life a lot easier and can help if they get in trouble. That way, you have an idea of where she is but are not snooping into her business.

My (now 26 year old) daughter worked at Disney Orlando after Uni for a year then spent 2 years travelling the globe. She tells me many tales of her travels but we both know there is a line and i ask no questions and she offers nothing beyond that line.
